Make A Positive Impact On Those In Your Community By Donating To The Residents Campaign

Ford's Colony Residents Campaign and MGA Sponsored Golf Tournament

Fords Colony residents support community needs.

This is the 28th year of the Ford’s Colony Men’s Golf Association (MGA)-Olde Towne Medical & Dental Center (OTMDC) Challenge, the major Ford’s Colony charity event. Last year, the MGA raised $72,000 for OTMDC which brought the total MGA contribution over 27 years to almost $1.3 million.

Some of OTMDC patients could be your lawn maintenance workers, staff at your favorite restaurant and home service providers. Uninsured patients who qualify pay a modest sliding fee based on their income. No one is turned away due to financial challenges.

Last year, OTMDC saw 3,873 patients, provided 12,237 patient visits and distributed 2,799 prescriptions – significantly benefiting our community by increasing wellness, decreasing health disparities, keeping people working and lowering health care costs.

62% of OTMDC patients are uninsured. Although most have 1 or more jobs, many are not covered by employer-offered insurance and cannot afford health insurance even with the Affordable Care Act.

As OTMDC moves forward, they will focus on enhancing their existing Integrated Health Care (IHC) services with stronger emphasis on incorporating behavioral health care and the social determinants of health into an individual’s primary care plan.

The MGA-OTMDC Challenge includes the Ford’s Colony Residents Campaign and a Golf Tournament supported by local businesses. The Residents Campaign runs from April 1 until May 12 and the Golf Tournament is May 10. Last year, the Residents Campaign raised $46,055 – the second highest total ever, and the Golf Tournament raised $24,623.

You can make a positive impact on the community. Your contributions are crucial to enable OTMDC to expand the care they provide to those who need it most and will make a difference in the lives of those who need help affording quality health and wellness care.

OTMDC is deeply grateful for your support.
